Doc/Rose day 2...

Yep, time again. Though this one is just a complete pain (actually a few of them are, evil things) - Day 02: Favourite Scene. 

Favourite Doctor and Rose scene, really? Actually, I know my answer. It's not exactly shippy as such. But for me it's one of those defining moments in their relationship.

Get out of the way. 
Rose, get out of the way, now! 

No! 'Cos I won't let you do this!

That thing killed hundreds of people. 

It's not the one pointing the gun at me. 

I've got to do this. I've got to end it. The Daleks destroyed my home, my people. I've got nothing left. 

Look at it.
What's it doing? 

It's the sunlight, that's all it wants! 
But it can't... 

It couldn't kill Van Statten - it couldn't kill me - it's changing. What about you, Doctor? What the hell are you changing into?

I couldn't... I wasn't... Oh, Rose. They're all dead.


Why do I love this scene so much? Simple. It's really a huge turning point in their relationship. The first time the Doctor really starts learning from Rose. Don't get me wrong, he was already starting to listen to her. And cared so deeply about her. Actually, I believe the dalek, even if it wasn't really romantic, yet he loved her already. So he stopped when she pretty much told him too. And she didn't have to say stop she just made him look at himself through her eyes. For the Doctor, that was enough. I think this is when you really start to see what Rose's opinion of his actions and self means to him.

(And that made sense to me. But then I haven't slept in over 24 hours so if it doesn't make sense to anyone else, sorry. But you can probably figure it out.)

You are right one. This is a huge milestone in their relationship. The point where the Doctor actually listens to what Rose has to say and she stops him form killing his mortal enemy! This is a huge moment!

Well picked and am with you all the way on this one. Missing Nine and Rose so much...

This is such a great moment. You can see that she really did "make [him] better"- these two really do complete each other, like RTD said.

Yep! One of the best examples of making him better. And I love how she did it. And that quote, love that quote.
