Yep, this is it, the last day of this Who meme. I'm still kinda surprised I made it too the end. I feel compelled to celebrate this fact with a hug :D

Ok, hug done. Day 30 - Why Do YOU Love Doctor Who? Right, this should be fun to answer...
Why do I love Doctor Who? Weeeeelll.....
Damn, I'm not really sure where to start. I've loved sci-fi and fantasy stuff for as long as I can remember (so, 3 weeks ago?). Yet somehow never got around to seeing much Doctor Who (just reruns on the ABC as a kid). After watching Torchwood on a friend's suggestion I started watching Doctor Who.
First, I loved the idea behind the show. You have the ability to go anywhere in time and space, what's not to love? The stories were fun, moving, interesting, silly etc, but I loved 'em all. So part of what I love. The stories. The individual episodes (98% of them anyway) and the series arcs (most of them too). Ok so there's a few exceptions but this isn't rant about the bits that annoy me day.
The characters, I came in at the start of new Who. With the ninth Doctor and Rose in the first new episode. I adore these characters too. Despite the fact one is a 900+ year old alien, they are both so brilliantly realised and believable. Up til recently there wasn't a main character that I didn't adore really. (I'm sure you can figure out who changed that.)
Have to say, the music, because really, this show has some of, if not al, of the best music on a tv series. It always works so perfectly within its place in the story. Can also just be listened to on its own and the brilliance behind it still shows.
I could probably ramble on for a long time here. But I'm going to avoid that and wrap up here with a pretty picture (or 2) :D

Don't worry, I see a theme there too, I don't care though. In all honesty, if it wasn't for these 2, I'm not sure I would have gotten into the show as easily as I did.
