Day 9 – Least Favourite Episode

Now, this is simple. That one episode that annoys me?The one I really don't want to watch again.
Well, given how much of the past week I've spent talking about it... It's really quite simple.

Yep, that's right, Girl in the Fireplace is my least favourite episode. (I'd get pictures, but that requires finding ones for this. Don't wanna.)

And no, not just because I love the Doctor and Rose. Seriously, where to start. Basic run down.
Well, ok there is the issue, that this GitF 'romance' was happening in the middle of a love story that went over a series already, and would essentially continue for another 2 and a half.
If this episode was in series 5, it would probably work, but as it is, it does not fit in the middle of the series 2 story arc.

Look, I'll give this episode credit on the fact that it is visually wonderful. But the story, romance aside, is pretty average. Killer clockwork robots? I mean really. Throw a spanner in the works (Or tip wine over their heads) and they're done. Let's ignore the fact that really, does no one in the future consider making sure robots aren't going to kill people?

I could say more, but if you really want more, try http://d-r-meta.livejournal.com/9403.html

I
 think that says it all.

Oh, some runners up, well... Half of series 6 could probably go here...

Ahh yes this episode. When fricken fickle Ten snogs another woman after the episode where he just about tells Rose he loves her in not so many words.

See why I love NINE! He would not do that to Rose

Anyway all that aside there are things I love about this episode. The costumes especially and I confess I like the clock work monsters but the music is what makes it. Not sure ifyou have heard the Doctor Who soundtrack but the music is beautiful

Ten coming in wearing the sunglasse and his tie wrapped around his head singing I could have danced all night might help too

But still this is my most hated episode because of that bloody kiss. I really really really want to slap Ten and Steve Moffat.

I agree with you, there is no way Nine would have left Rose behind, Mickey maybe ;). He at the very least would have dragged Rose onto the horse too. Actually for every trip through.

Visually it's a very impressive episode. And I agree, the music is beyond brilliant. I have the soundtracks, love them :)

I mostly just want to slap Moffat for writing this and RTD for letting him get away with it.
