Now that's just nasty, I'm s'posed to pick A favourite episode? That's like picking a favourite type of chocolate. There's a few that could fit here.
But it's supposed to be one, so...

Here's a hint ..

In all honesty, I picked Dalek because it was one of the first episodes to just blow me away and make me fall in love with the characters just a bit more than I thought possible. There are so many moments that just, work so well.

I still absolutely love this episode, I could rewatch it so much. CE plays the Doctor's vulnerable side just perfectly, his face and eyes say so much in this story. And BP shows just what makes Rose so fantastic, her strength and compassion shows so much in a single scene.

Oh and some of the others that count as favourites...

Father's Day, Parting of the Ways, The Christmas Invasion,Tooth and Claw, Doomsday, The Runaway Bride, Human Natue/Family of Blood, Utopia/Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords, Partners in Crime, Turn Left, Journey's End, The End of Time, The Doctor's Wife...

Now that was why it was so hard to pick just one episode as a favourite :P

Dalek is absolutely one of my favorites too! I find it's really the turning point where Nine stops defining himself (and Rose) by his own morality, and starts letting himself be defined by hers. Huge turning point in their relationship!

That's true, it's when he really starts listening to Rose instead of just trying to tell her. I miss Nine/Rose :(

It is very very difficult to pick a favourite episode but in Season one mine would be Fathers Day however Dalek would probably be next in line because of some kick arse acting from Christopher Eccleston. Although we've seen traces of darkness from him like letting Cassandra die on Platform one, the sadness and then rage that CE lets loose as Nine in this episode is both frightening and splendid at the same time.

An as a comlete turn around we see his anguish and again his emotions for Rose and of course the Daleks classic line

"What use are emotions if you will not save the woman you love"
