Day 1 – Favourite Incarnation of the Doctor

Now this is a bit like asking whether I like ice cream with chocolate or chocolate with ice cream...
I admit to not having seen ClassicWho (yet) so I'm only deciding between Nine, Ten and Eleven and to be honest, Eleven is not even close.

So the winner and believe me, this is killing me to decide would be.... Nine! but only just I admit. Probably just because it's his fault I fell in love with the show.

Nine! His random "come hither" posture in EotW will never stop amusing me. Seriously, where does that even come from? He never does it again.

It is random, never repoeated, but maybe that's it, it's unusual so I can't help but love it :D

He was the reason I fell in love with the Doctor, as well. I feel like I'm cheating on him, a bit though because Ten is my fave. :D I just couldn't resist the many charms of David Tennant :D

Oh I can really understand that, Ten almost won. David Tennant, I mean *dreamy sigh* ;D
But it had to be Nine for me, he was just (to steal the obvious phrase) fantastic :D

9 is wonderful - when we first started watching the show and I learned that some guy named David Tennant took over in the second season, I was SO annoyed - I ADORED 9, and never wanted him to leave. Then he became 10, and 10 is my favorite, but 9 is SO close...for me, David Tennant is the Doctor in his portrayal, not just an actor playing the part. Beauty aside, that's what puts him over the top for me. Not that 9 isn't brilliant - he's so delightfully alien in the way he plays the Doctor, but there's just something about the way Tennant plays him that's captivating. And pretty, but that's honestly secondary. :) Mostly. ;)

Believe, this decision was hard, normally I refuse to pick between Nine and Ten... And watching him regenerate was hard. I was sitting there going "Nooo, bring him back!!!"

Admittedly, it didn't take long into The Christmas Invasion to love Ten just as much. Like I said, the only reason Nine wins is he's my first Doctor and the one responsible for all this.

Ah yes this is a tough question to answer because the line between Nine and Ten is very very fine. So fine its almost invisible but I have to go with Nine. A) because he was my first doctor, B) because you can see how very much in love he was with Rose. He didnt hide stuff as much as Ten did. C) he was so obviously broken and you could see the joy Rose gave him as he healed. Ten is so brash and adorable but Nine despite his gruffness remains the one on top of my list.

Must agree with you, with Nine you could always see the love he had for Rose. It was wonderful because you could watch how that love for and from Rose healed him. And Nine's gruffness? Oh I adore that, I always want to give him a hug when he's like that.
