So Day 11 is a Scene/Moment that made you cry. This is problematic.
I don't cry when watching TV. Though there's 2 scenes that got me close.

The one that I'm giving it too?

Well, I guess it's a continuation on from yesterday. The Bad Wolf Bay scene from Doomsday.

If you have to ask why, I'm probably going to assume you're blind. It's damn sad. And BP gets me every time she chokes up.

The other moment that would get me is the end of Journey's End when the Doctor has to wipe Donna's memory. That is truly heartbreaking as well.

Someone said today that they think the Doctor loves River more than he loved Rose. I'm looking at this scene and going "no".

Seriously? Maybe in their head, but I can't think of any indication at all in the past 2 series that says the Doctor loves River at all really.

Likes her. Maybe. But love? Nah. It's like when people tell me the 'wedding' was romantic.

Yeah, I'd say he cares for her, but if he loves her, he's sure got a funny way of showing it.

And then I think of his constant Rose squee when she was around and of his despair when he lost her, and I have trouble seeing the other side of that argument.

Well, I guess it's always possible that love for him means not looking at all like he's in love.

So by that logic, the behaviour he shows around Rose and after her loss is not love....

Unless there is some huge shift in behaviour and characterisation, I'm going to stick with, he loved Rose. And River... Well, he might love her, but more like one loves that weird you're not sure what to do about.

I think it says something when even the cast is trying not to cry. Damn them, they make watching the behind the scenes sad as well.

And following my last comment yes here is the moment for that Doomsday scene.

Mind you Icried when Nine regenerated into Ten but Ten and Rose were so adorable together I got over it but then this Doomsday episode. Oh cripes I'm tearing up just thinking about it. The Doctor and Rose, always so close and touching, to be ripped apart like that. And then he does something he's not done for anyone before. he comes to say goodbye but she can't touch him and its literally heartbreaking. I don't know why it affects me so much since they are only fictional characters but they do.

I angst over this so much I had to write a fic about it and give a bit of hope at the end with the Doctor being able to go on because Rose told him she loved him.

And I don't think I need to explain the heartbreak of Ten's regeneration in End of Time. I shall cry over this until the End of Time (mine that is :()

Oh, I was so heartbroken when we lost Nine. Luckily Ten made up for the loss of Nine, most of the time...

And yes, Doomsday is painful, and the whole no touch thing, it's cruel for those two, they spent s much time in contact, hands, hugs etc. And personally, I think that if fictional characters can touch us so it means something is being done right :)

Oh, I wonder if I've read that fic, I think I've read most of yours, love them.

And yes, the loss of Ten, as bad as the loss of Nine. I miss them both :(

Yes I miss them both too.

The story I mentioned was called Damnation and Salvation and you can find it here: http://www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=33207

Oh, I hadn't read that one. It was beautiful. I like the way you've used it for hope instead of angst, it's a different take on the aftermath of Doomsday.

'hope instead of angst'

Yes thats exactly what I was going for. I needed to put that hope in there and considering Ten later said that Rose's name kept him fighting I think that my fic ending was perhaps validated.

I still remember crying while writing it though. I'm a big sook.

I love the way Ten said that. And I really think in a manner of speaking everything about Rose, and everything she said kept him going for a while there.

Nothing wrong with being a sook :)
