2 Episodes into Game of Thrones...

....and I think I'm beginning to understand the appeal.

I think I'll start with the fact this show looks absolutely amazing. But already I can see more than just the aesthetic appeal. While it's still early the plot is already intriguing me. I mean I've got some ideas where the story might go, but I like not really knowing.

The characters. Yeah, love the characters. Well, love to hate some of them, but then it's early and I may yet like them later. But I like how much depth the characters already have.

I think I'll go back to watching. Wonder how many I can watch before I have to sleep.... This show just kind of drags you in.

I'll ramble on more about the show after a few more episodes....

Oooh you have a Dany icon!!! =D

(Did you notice that her bro is Son of Mine from HN/FoB?)

Glad you're enjoying it!!! =D

Well, I had to have a GoT icon and I admit, Dany is just an amazing character!

That's why he looks so familiar? Every time I saw him I kept trying to figure out who he was...

I am!! I've watched the first 5 episodes now. Wish I'd watched them sooner, this is just amazing.

Yeah I have a huge girl-crush on Dany lol. And it's my crossover head canon that if Ten had met her, then he would have been head over heels, too XD

It's really a great show!! I'm withholding any further comment because I don't remember what happened in each episode, and I don't want to inadvertently spoil you XD

Yep, I can understand that, took me 2 episodes to pretty much decide she was absolutely brilliant (and yes, gorgeous). Lol, yep, Ten would have wanted her.

Yes yes, don't tell me. I love not knowing what's going to happen. It's been a while since a show has been like that. I'm not even sure how I avoided any information, but I'm glad I did.

There will be an post when I'm finished watching! Which will probably be rambling, but at least I'll be able to hold a decent discussion on the show ;)

(And I think I'm going to need more icons...)

Cheers! I'm glad you're enjoying it, and that watching vs. reading first is working out for you. (I do hope you read the book sometime though, even if the suspense is lost... there's just so much more depth of character.)

It is a beautifully done show, as far as landscape and cinematography are concerned.

It really is. I think the advantage to not having read the books is I'm not waiting for things to happen that might not in the show. Will definitely read the books one day though.

And yes, the cinematography/landscape is done brilliantly. (Better than some movies I've seen in the past couple of years.)
