The only one I can actually think of is 'Blink', but I hardly even see that as a proper DW-episode - its more just a nicely packed, fine little adventure. You know, back when Moffat hadn't gotten so drunk on timey-wimeyness and whatnot.

The saddest thing ever was Donna losing her memory and never remembering again, all the wonderful things she'd seen and done. I mean, that's greek-tragedy sad. All goodbyes are sad, though some are filled with hope - like Martha's and Rose's final one, with Cloen - but tbh, the Ponds' departure doesn't even make the top 20 list of 'gone are beloved characters' for me.
